Art Trade: Aerith Summons Holy

A very late art trade with the lovely who requested me to do a figure drawing of the beautiful flower maiden from Final Fantasy VII. I think she wanted me to draw Aerith summoning Holy or something like that, I am not sure but this is what comes in mind when thinking about it.

Anyways, I thought I would like to approach this challenge by doing something new, like using black construction paper as my canvous! I was nervous of getting started, but after while transferring my rough draft onto the paper I was growing with excitement. The white colored pencil proven help with other colors that grow bright as Holy itself. I decided that Aerith's hair will be in a ponytail but not braided; I wanted to flow down like the Lifestream surrounding her. Hmm, I wonder if I had without any intention making this a reference to the ending of Final Fantasy VII? Maybe, maybe not...
