Hello to all the deviants on DA! How are you on this fine October month? Anyone here excited for Halloween despite of the downfalls such as working or chaperoning a party for the kids? I, for one, decided to stay home to pass out candy while watching LPs of Five Nights at Freddy’s and maybe a few family-friendly Halloween movies such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and of course Dr. Horrible Sing-Along Blog.

Anyway, to the point of this update, I must figure out a way to halt my apologies everything time I expand the gap between my last recent update and this new one. Instead of saying “I’m sorry”, allow me to express why it is so…

Just last week from Monday, my Aunt Roseanne had suffered a stroke and had to go to the hospital. It was fortunate enough that we were able to caught it in time, but then, during her time at the ER, a growing tumor was found in her abdomen which had caused her to have blood clots. Thankfully for all greatness in the world, the tumor was not cancerous. However, she still needs to recover from the stroke and get the tumor removed. It may take about two weeks for her, maybe even more. Needless to say, she had dodged the bullet, but she’s not out of the woods. But she will eventually because I know she is strong. She’s a tough woman mind you! J

My Grandma Caroline has Alzheimer’s and amnesia. Even to this day, she still had a difficult time progressing the information that had happened last week. Roseanne is her major caregiver, and since she’s at the hospital, my mom, I, and a few of my family members had to take over as temporary caregivers. Just until things are back to normal before the stroke came. I had become her company since Monday during the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I feel like I’m back at school again, only I’m doing granny-sitting overtime. Because of the medical drama, it comes to the conclusion that we need to put my grandma in a nursing home with a heavy focus of Alzheimer’s treatments and care. Roseanne had been taken care of her so much that it caused her stress and overwhelming circumstances. We comforted her knowing that we understand what it’s like being in her own shoes. Heck, I thought Cloud Strife was having a hard time figuring out who he was after that high dose of Mako, but it seems my grandma was confused and frustrated. The grandma I used to know was fading away, only remaining a memory. This applies to Aunt Roseanne as well. I’m not sure what the aftermath will bring that would change her forever, but I know that I will always have the memories of her in me before the stroke. Those fragments will not be taken away from me.

So, due to the family medical drama and my temporary job of caregiver and supervisor, I had been lacking updates of art works. Despite of posting up WIPs on my Facebook and Tumblr accounts with they handy help of my iPhone, the whole thing had me anchored down. Eventually, it will lift up and I’ll get back to my artistic self. In the meantime, I hope I will get to finished my FPR BCA (Female Personification Ribbons Breast Cancer Awareness) pictures featuring the selected lovely women from Super Smash Bros. You can find the WIPs on Facebook if you already liked the page --> www.facebook.com/pages/Lady-Ju…

In the meantime, in case I don't get the chance, I wish you all a safe and happy Halloween. I hope it will be a great one considering that the holiday falls on a Friday. Haunting parties for the win! :D I will keep you guys updated on my situation and hopefully I'll get myself back to normal before another set of holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) come tackling in.

Keep on Drawing! :w00t:

LadyJux,

I am really proud of you for sticking together with your family and helping them out! You are a strong person who gives so much of yourself when others need you. You already give so much by sharing your gift of art with us. I am glad you can help your grandma, and I think it is a good idea to get professional help with the Alzheimer's nursing home. It's a hard decision but it really is a full-time job that requires constant care. Keep in touch and good luck with everything. Have a Happy Halloween too :D
